
You do not need a resolution. You do not need to do more or be more this decade.
There are things you have to do.
There are things you want to do.
And there is the way you do them.
You can try and make things you want to do into things you have to do. You can try and make your passion your work and it could be great, or it could suck the joy out of what you love.
You can try and make the things you have to do into things you want. You can reframe your perspective and learn to love laundry. You can delegate the things you don’t want, and dump that burden on someone else. It might make it easier, or it might just be an embellished form of avoidance.
Your only power is in changing the way you do these things. You probably have to work to suport yourself, you probably want some combination of material items, enriching experiences, and human connection. The truth is, you can’t avoid what must be done and you probably already have much of what you want. All that’s left is perspective.
